Dear String Players, Thank you for your interest in requesting an instrument or bow for trial in your home/studio. (Only available within the continental U.S.). To initiate a trial, please phone us at 1-800-886-3554 toll-free (sorry, we do not take requests via e-mail or fax). International inquiries are welcomed. Phone for details at 703-256-0566. After discussing your tonal requirements, size and price range, we will make recommendations. You can then determine if you wish to have instruments/bows sent for trial. We require security information from you in the form of credit card numbers, social security number, permanent address where you live, home and work phone numbers, and e-mail address if applicable. The instruments/bows will be shipped to you via FedEx with the cost charged to your credit card. (Ask us for an estimated shipping cost). This charge will be refunded when you purchase an instrument/and or bow. You will have ten days to try the instruments/bows at your convenience in your home or performance venue. This affords you the opportunity to get thoroughly acquainted with the instruments/bows and to consult with a teacher or colleague before making a final decision. All instruments/bows which we offer for sale are guaranteed for their authenticity. In some cases where appropriate and applicable, we provide certificates of authenticity from our shop or from other experts in the trade. All instruments/bows are meticulously shop adjusted, "player tested" and "tweaked" to their peak performance potential. Of course there are personal preferences in choice of strings, chinrest, and in some cases string height. These matters can be worked out as required. For shipment to you, we carefully place the instrument/bow in a well-padded hard case which is then packed in a carton and suspended in packing material. We do not charge for packing but do charge the actual shipping cost plus insurance to a maximum value of $1,000.00. Any excess insurance cost for high value instruments/bows is borne by us. If the instruments/bows are returned to us, we require that they be packed in exactly the same manner in which they were received and insured for a maximum of $1,000.00.
